Prescription for Health Lifestyle Change Program

Prescription for Health is a science-based, lifestyle change program designed to equip you with practical information and the skills to help you to reduce your risk of developing chronic diseases as you age.

A healthy lifestyle can have the greatest impact on the prevention and management of the following conditions:

  • Prediabetes and metabolic syndrome
  • Heart disease

Prescription for Health is facilitated by Dr Lydia Altini as a series of six interactive workshops.

Each workshop covers an essential element of a healthy lifestyle including:

  • Adopting a nutrient-dense, plant-predominate eating pattern
  • Optimizing and individualizing physical activity plans
  • Improving sleep
  • Managing stress with healthy coping strategies
  • Building mental and emotional wellbeing
  • Creating healthy habits that stick

Prescription for Health is ideally suited for groups in a variety of settings and can be delivered in person or online:

  • In a clinic in conjunction with shared medical appointments or online group consultations
  • In the workplace as part of an employee wellness program
  • In community settings
